Ian & Elaine Hill posted a condolence

My wife and I were saddened to read of Sophi's passing. For many years, it was my pleasure and privilege to look after the Pappas family. My interactions with Sophi were always a delight. She was easy to look after and I don't remember her uttering a negative or unkind word. Among her many attributes was that she was a wonderful cook. In fact she spent many lovely hours going over recipes and teaching Elaine some of her secret recipes. She will be greatly missed.

Hello Lynn. I hope you are doing well. Thank you for the message and the beautiful flowers. My mom would have loved them. She truly enjoyed working at Maggie’s with you, Carol, and Maria. I think I was still in grade school at the time, but I remember visiting once in a while. May her memory be eternal.

Thank you for the message, flowers and tree Johnny and Thea. The flowers looked lovely on the table in the church. Mom was so patient, kind and wise. Everyone loved her. When we owned a restaurant for a couple years, the waitresses relied on mom for advice. I was annoyed that I had to share her. Lol! May her memory be eternal.

Hello Angie, Jim and Maria. Thank you for the message. I have a folder full of photos of you celebrating Connie’s birthdays. Ya’ll had hip 70’s haircuts. Lol! I also have photos of us playing Monopoly at our family home on Wood Crescent. Our moms were making air popped corn and giggling in the kitchen. Mom was a beautiful lady. The full package. May her memory be eternal.

So many special fun memories growing up and all our family visits. Our parents being good friends and then my folks becoming God-parents to Vicky, we became family. Theia Sophia became one of my 2nd Moms and the kids my cousins.
Heart is broken for you all. I know she was very proud of all of you.
Sincerely,
John (Yianni) Hatzitolios

Thank you Johnny. I have digital photos of some of my b-days with your family. I’ll send a couple to you. Also, I found the cross your mom gave me for my baptism. It’s beautiful. I’m planning to wear it again one of these days soon. I think of Nouna often. Both women had beautiful souls. We were lucky to have been raised by them.
