PAPACONSTANTINOU, Sophia

Forever in our hearts.

Sophia Papaconstantinou (Pappas) passed away surrounded by her family on October 1, 2020. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Chris Papaconstantinou; their three children Connie (Chris) Haunsperger, Basil Papaconstantinou and Vicki Papaconstantinou; and their grandchildren Kurt Haunsperger and Erica Haunsperger. Sophia was born in Dimitra, Ilias Greece in 1937. She became a school teacher and taught in Athens where she met Chris, the love of her life. They immigrated to Canada and married in Brantford, Ontario in 1963. In 1967 they moved to Regina where they finally settled to raise their young family.  Sophia approached each day with boundless energy. Spirited in conversation, graceful in demeanor and with a delightfully infectious laugh she endeared herself to all who knew her. She dedicated her life selflessly to home and family which gave her great joy. Flowers most gratefully declined. The funeral service will take place at St. Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church, 3000 Argyle Road, Regina, SK on Tuesday October 6, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow in Regina Memorial Gardens, 4001 East Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK.
