I was very sorry to hear of Shirley's passing. I met Shirley and Merv back in 1997 when Don, Karen, Nathan and I made the trip from Winnipeg to meet his extended family out west. We were made to feel very special with everyone gathering to welcome us.. I again experienced an amazing welcome about 4 years ago when I was visiting family in Saskatoon and made the beautiful drive to Regina. Shirley got everyone together for a wonderful dinner and I felt like an honoured family member even though Don and I had separated by then. I will miss her ecards which she always remember to send to stay in touch. My condolences to all the family. Terry GIllis, Ottawa
