WUNSCH, Frederick William (Bill)

F William (Bill) Wunsch passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 18, 2020 at the age of 84 years from complications of COVID-19. Bill was predeceased by his parents George and Katharina; and sisters Anne and Mollie. Left to cherish his memories are his wife Judy; son Scott (Christa); grandson Sage; step-grandchildren Ashley (Cypress, Alexander) and Tyden; sister Martha; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Bill grew up on a mixed farm south of Ernfold during the ‘30’s and ‘40’s. He left the farm in 1955 for Moose Jaw, then Regina – working at the Co-op and The Bay, both in the TV/radio service departments. In 1961, he obtained his private pilot’s licence and enjoyed viewing the world at a higher altitude. In 1968, he started his own business for the radio control hobbyist and by the late ‘70’s designed and manufactured his own radio equipment. By 1990, Bill was building computer equipment, and soon his son followed him into that industry. He was an avid old time country music fan, spending many hours listening to those old songs on YouTube. Bill will be missed by all who knew him. A service will be scheduled at a future date in the summer, once it’s safer to gather in person. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation COVID-19 Emergency Fund, #225 - 1874 Scarth Street, Regina, SK S4P 4B3.
