Please accept my condolences on Sophie’s passing. Sophie was a blessing bestowed on my sister’s family when she agreed to babysit my nieces. But Sophie was so much more than the word “babysitter” conveys. She was a grandma, teacher and family member. —Joanne Beltramini

Our heartfelt condolences to Sophie’s family. Sophie became an integral member of our family in February 1991 when she became caregiver to Kirstie and later to Aurlee. She was a loving, caring person, and we give her much of the credit for our girls becoming the women they are today. Our fondest memory is that Sophie took the girls outside (usually to the Dairy Queen) every day either in a stroller, wagon, sleigh or walking. Her strong faith was evident in her words and actions. Sophie had a life well lived and she will forever be in our hearts.

Please accept my condolences. I remember you all and your mom from the days at Little Flower Church, St. Augustine, etc.... I believe she was on the CWL with my mom. The Lord continues to intertwine lives. I reconnected with her at Discovery Baptist in later years and then my son had the pleasure of meeting her at Elmview. Such a kind and strong lady! Take care and gain peace through the wonderful memories of her!!

Dear Sandy
I am so sorry for your loss.
Take comfort knowing that your Mom is now resting in the loving arms of Jesus...……..may she rest in peace.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your family at this sad time.
I still often think of the trouble we got into when we painted her bedroom as a surprise.
Be strong and keep her memory alive
Big hugs

Our deepest condolences to Sophie's family. We will always treasure our memories of "Grandma" Sophie from when we were kids too! We loved our walks to Dairy Queen (including waving at the city bus drivers), cinnamon brown sugar toast and our scheduled lunches. We remember making heart sugar cookies for her birthday, perogies, and floats. It was such an honour to have her come to my (Kirstie's) Grade 12 graduation! She will be dearly missed.

My deepest condolences to Sophie's family. She was always very welcoming to me. I admired her fighting spirit, especially when she fought her way back from Guillain Barre Syndrome. She was a strong woman and a caring one. May her memory bring you comfort in this sad time.
