As an associate of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Missions and a friend of Sister Frances, I offer my condolences to the Bonokoski family members and the RNDM Sisters, on the loss of one outstanding woman who served the Lord faithfully all of her life. I knew Francie as a spiritual director who taught me how to listen to the Lord for my direction in life. She was an outstanding teacher whose gentleness and kindness was shared far and wide in the archdiocese of Regina. She had a love and compassion for people and was always so understanding of their needs. I admired how sensitively she began and led the New Beginnings Program. After a life of dedicated service, May Francie now Rest In Peace. She will be missed. She was a woman of great vision.
With Sincere Sympathy,
Lynda Browning.

I have so many wonderful memories of Auntie Francy, but the best one is when I visited her while she was on retreat in Rome. We had a fabulous time visiting the city by bus and I'll always remember spending time with her at the convent there, listening to the nuns doing their morning vespers. Even now, it gives me shivers, it was so beautiful.
It was also a treat to spend time with her and my Mom, Regina, at the nuns' place at Santa Maria. The nuns were so welcoming and we really enjoyed their company. That was probably the last time that Mom and Francy were together, as Mom passed away a year or two later.
Hugs to all of my cousins and especially Uncle Gordon and Aunty Mary-Lou. I wish I could be there with everyone today, as I'm sure we all do.

Auntie Francie was very special to me. She was there with mom when I was born as dad couldn't be there. She was my god mother. She was not just an aunt to me, not just a nun but a memorable part of my young life. I can recall her encouraging us to slide across those hardwood convent floors to "help polish them". Go with God auntie Francie.

I send condolences to all my cousins, the nieces and nephews of our treasured Auntie Francie. Fond, fond memories of mom, Auntie Francie and Auntie Mary Lou sitting on Auntie's kitchen floor giggling as only sisters with a true bond could. Auntie Francie sat with my mother as she passed and all my family is so grateful to her and her many acts of kindness to us all. Rest in peace. you have been a blessing to us all.

My mother, (Mary) Eleanor Langton Loster, began studying to be a nun at the same time as Sister Frances. They became good friends. My mom found this was not to be her true vocation. She and Sister Frances remained friends until my mom passed in 2006. We heard many stories about their antics throughout life and Sr. Frances was always supportive of my mom throughout her lifetime. We are thankful she had such a wonderful and spiritual friend. I am sorry for your loss. Stephanie Loster Young

To me, she was always, Auntie Francie, always funny and down to earth. She was so in touch with the real world and approachable, that I never thought of her as a nun, just a wonderful, kind auntie. She made the world a better place and will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace.

When we lived in Hanmer Ontario we weclomed the few visits Aunt Frances would make to our farm. Sometimes we met her train in the middle of the night in Capreol or Sudbury. We treasured these visits and her wonderful letters (signed, the early days. Sister Mary Louise). Later , when we moved to Saskatchewan we had more good visits and celebrated Aunt Frances 'jubilees in the religious life. Always a kind and gentle presence in our lives, AuntFrances will e missed .RIP.
