Obituary of Joan Eileen Noland

Joan Noland of Regina died peacefully on Monday, January 11, 2021 at the age of 75. She was born to Verah Armstrong and Hank Noland, and grew up on a ranch outside of Eastend, Saskatchewan along with her two older sisters, Mary and Anne. Though she eventually moved away, the Cypress Hills always held a very special place in her life and her heart. 

Joan raised her three children, Jenny Elizabeth, Timothy John and Sean Alex, in Regina. She worked as a massage therapist for over 20 years and was proud of the difference she was able to make in people’s lives. 

She loved making and sharing things and spent many hours spinning, knitting, crocheting and felting.  Joan would also happily point out when a movie was using the wrong kind of cows or horses, and when someone had clearly switched horses for a stunt. 

She will be fondly remembered by the many people whose lives she touched. In lieu of a service we ask those who knew her to lift a cup in her memory and remember her with joy and kindness.
