I avoided posting anything here as I just did not want this to be real. Somehow writing here makes this real and I’m still not ready for that. Aubrey was my boss at Sasktel and he impressed me immensely. He was brilliant. You’d go to him totally baffled, thinking you had thought this out and there was absolutely no way around it and within 3 minutes he’d say something and you’d walk away wondering how he came up with that. From knowing Aubrey at work, I met Brenda and the kids and a forever friendship was formed. Brenda and Aubrey were our go to couple for suppers out, ice cream excursions, and movies. We could call them or they could call us last minute and if the stars aligned, off we’d go. Aubrey was our go to guy for home handyman advice. He always came and always brought tools as he knew we were lacking. The pandemic reduced our get togethers but we still had a couple deck visits where both couples picked up takeout and then ate it on our deck. It felt so good to have these moments of normalcy. Sadly we had no idea how quickly we’d lose Aubrey. Our hearts break for Brenda and their kids and grandchildren. We will dearly miss our very, very good friend. Aubrey, you are very hard to let go of. Rest In Peace our dear friend. Thank you for everything. You will never be forgotten.

My heart aches for you all. My sincere condolences on the loss of your husband, dad, and grandfather. He truly was so special - I still have such vivid and fond memories of him from decades ago when Tammy and I were teenagers...I can picture him dancing around the living room with Brenda and ALWAYS with a smile on his face. I didn’t know Aubrey, but I know his daughter.....and as I’ve heard and read, he was one of the instrumental people who helped to shape the lovely woman she has turned out to be, and in turn has raised two awesome children of her own, who I understand will miss their Grandpa a lot .... so although I had never met him.... this speaks volumes to me about the man he was and the legacy he leaves behind. My sincere condolences to the family on your loss.

I want to send my deepest condolences. I worked with Aubrey for over 10 years at SHA, and he was a true example of how any one should carry themselves professionally and personally.
His passion for learning and passing on his knowledge to the younger generation, has touched not just me but everyone that has worked with him, and made us better human beings in the process because of how great he was. I will miss him greatly.

Sorry to hear of Aubrey's passing.
We started work at the same time at SaskTel in 1968.
Aubrey was assigned to the Engineering department and I, as an Engineer, was assigned to the Accounting department. Always found that humorous. A year later we were both in the same department and I enjoyed working with him until his retirement.
