Our family met Hendrika while visiting our Mother, Alice Wihak, at the Bentley, and we shared many enjoyable meals with her. We appreciated Hendrika's intellect and awareness, and her lively opinions on many current events and topics, as well as her wry wit. We were grateful that our Mom had a good friend with whom she could share the news of the day in a similar manner. My sister and I visited Hendrika after our Mom passed away in 2019, and I phoned her for a phone chat once she had moved to College Park. We want to express our sympathies to Hendrika's family. We know how much she enjoyed her visits to Ted and Delee's, and with her other family members.
