Obituary of Christina Pauline Selinger (nee Herauf)

A recording of the service is available below

It is with hearts full of love that we say goodbye to our beautiful Mom, Grandma and Great-Grandma, Christina.  Christina loved God and her family dearly.

She was predeceased by her husband Tony; son Jerome; brother Aloysius; and sisters Katherine, Clara and Anne.  Christina's memory will be cherished by her children Wayne (Donna) Selinger, Gerard (Kim) Selinger, Bernie (Candy) Selinger, Marie (Greg) Dukart, and daughter-in-law Terry Selinger (Doug);  grandchildren Erin, Dan (Heather), Terry, Tara (Eddie), Amy (Shawn), Mark (Danielle), Jocelyn (Andrew), Ben (Nikki), Paul (Mandy), Nathan (Jennifer), Jordan (Naomi), Brandon, Grant and Christopher;  her 15 precious great-grandchildren; sisters Emma and Cecelia;  brothers Leo and Jerome (Jan); as well as extended family and friends.

Christina was born on a farm near Davin, Saskatchewan to Anton and Theresa Herauf.  She grew up in a faith filled family and lived that faith throughout her life.  Mom was proud of the work she did over the years with canvassing for cancer, contributing funds to help educate priests and serving as a long-time member of the St. Anne's Parish CWL in Regina.  She was most proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Christina loved to visit with her family and friends.  We knew she kept us all in her prayers and surrounded us with her love.

Many wonderful people helped care for Mom in her later years.  Our family is so grateful to everyone at Dove House for all the love and kindness they extended to her.  Christina was happy to call Dove House her home.  We would also like to thank the doctors and nurses at the Pasqua Hospital, Regina for the compassionate care they gave Mom in her final days.

We have many fond memories to treasure of Mom's long and happy life.

Donations in Christina's memory may be made to help support your parish or faith community in these difficult times or to a charity of your choice.

A Private Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. To view the livestream of the service or to leave an online message of condolence, please visit Christina’s tribute page at www.speersfuneralchapel.com
