Holy and Family
Floyd and I were shocked to hear of Daryl’s passing. We remember the both of you when Bryan and Brody played Hockey together many years ago. He was such a proud dad. I’ll remember his big smile and his laughs with his overwhelming pride he had in his family.

Holly and family,
Sending condolences and our thoughts and prayers to your entire family during this difficult time. Our family met Daryl, Holly, and Karlie through Regina Minor Girls Softball league many years ago. Karlie played softball with my twin daughters (Kristina and Megan Kaminski). Rob and I got to know Holly and Daryl in the stands watching our daughters play ball. Daryl also helped coach and assist. Over the years, I would continue to frequently bump into both Holly and Daryl at the YMCA. Daryl always had a smile on his face at the gym and was always quick to acknowledge people he knew. I will miss seeing Daryl several days a week at the YMCA.
May all of you be comforted by your many precious memories.

There is nothing we can say to take away the pain of loss for Holly, Brody, Chelsea, Karlie and families. Daryl was one of the nicest people we were lucky to have known. He was a husband, a father, a grandfather and friend. We send you hugs and strength to get through this challenging time.

Holly and family,
Karen and I were shocked to learn today of Daryl's passing. Our sincere condolences to you and your family.
I remember seeing him when I would drop into the office in Regina about 7 to 10 years ago...a couple years before I retired/
I so much enjoyed working so many years with Daryl, talking to him about family, work or whatever, and just enjoying the conversation. He was so kind, so thoughtful....always thinking of everyone else, and willing to help whenever asked, without question. He really enjoyed learning (especially his environmental subjects at Royal Roads), and I loved talking to, and learning from him and his vast experience in geology and groundwater or whatever. He was always that "friendly face" that you couldn't help but stop and talk to, catch up on family etc.
He was such an important member of our "GAS" team, always helping, always willing to try something new, drive to whatever job, no matter what the time, what the distance. He always went above and beyond, and we spent so much time together in the office, and in the field. I remember him making me laugh so many times.....he had a wonderful sense of humor.
I'm sure he's busy riding that motorcycle in the sky....looking down on the family that he loved so much.
Rest in peace Daryl. Sorely missed.

To Holly and family, and to the Jaques siblings and their families,
We send our deepest condolences on the passing of Daryl. It was not that long ago, it seems, that we saw him proudly driving one of his prized autos! He was an especially nice person and I'm sure his loss will be felt by all who knew him.
Warmest regards at this sad time.

Dear Holly and Family,
So sad to hear about Daryl's passing. I couldn't believe it when Mel Sebastian had called me this morning about the shocking news. Daryl will be missed by all who knew him and my deepest condolences to everyone. His great sense of humor, hearty laugh, and superb joke-telling will long be remembered. His "Hello Dolly" joke is still talked about in our family, one of those jokes that only a select few of us know about. Daryl and I had common ground--hot cars and the Roughriders. For a time, we would analyze the games by email after we had watched them, thinking that we knew more than the coaches. Sometimes we thought we did.
For those who don't know me, Daryl was the best man at my wedding in 1975.
Bonnie and I will drink a toast in Daryl's honor at this evening's meal.

Chelsea is our neighbour and dear friend, the stories she shares of her Dad are always so lovely.
The way that Chelsea loves and adores her parents is so admirable, and can be seen and heard so clearly in each of her stories.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family during this extremely difficult time.

It was very sad for us to hear about the loss of Daryl ("Jaques") As kids growing up we always just called him Jaques which was a way of saying how much we liked him every time we got together. A testament to that is the fact, when I was able to teach Brody, Chelsea and Karlie they also were just called....... Jaques.
Sincere condolences to Holly , Doug , Dana and their families.
