The recording of the service is available below

Reyce Robert Jason Ball of Regina, SK, passed away with family by his side on Sunday, February 28, 2021.

Reyce is survived by his mom Erin (Steve); his dad Michael (Tasha); his 5 siblings: 4 brothers, Riley, Ryder, Russell and Myles, and his one and only sister Maizy; grandparents, Ron and Janice Copeman, Debbie (Wayne) Reich, and Ron Ball. He also had step-siblings who he loved and appreciated. Reyce had many aunts and uncles and endless amounts of cousins. As well as very special friends including Jennifer Longman and the Hadaway family.

Reyce was diagnosed with a rare leukaemia in 2009 at age 9. He endured a life in hospital for 3 years for chemo treatments. Many complications in that time but he was eager to get back to a normal childhood. Finally that was possible, Reyce finished his grade 8 year and moved into high school at Martin Collegiate. He loved every minute of high school. Unfortunately half way through grade 9, Reyce relapsed with the same diagnoses as 2009. He now required a bone marrow transplant and his mom was a perfect match. After travelling to Calgary for 5 months, Reyce returned home. 11 days later he rejected the bone marrow and had to be airlifted back to Calgary for extensive treatment. Reyce had nothing but complication after complication after this, up until he passed away.

11 years of total treatments and complications. Reyce was a true Saskatchewan warrior. He was known around the world for his determination, his fight, his positive outlook, his humour and his zest for life.

Reyce was the most loving and loyal person to his family and friends. He loved everyone with all he had. An amazing son, a wonderful brother, and the sweetest grandson.

Reyce will always be known for his witty humour. He could make anyone laugh without trying! He really knew how to get his mom’s best laugh going.

Reyce was so friendly with anyone he ever met, always starting conversations and jokes. He was quick with his sarcastic comebacks, it was who he was.

Momsie, is what he called his mom or he often said mother what are we going to do with you? He called his siblings all sorts of nicknames. He had a great love for his papa and mama, Reyce could never do wrong in their eyes. It was an amazing relationship they had. He also had an absolutely amazing relationship with his dad Mike, they understood each other, and they were almost the same person in so many ways.

He will truly be missed by his family and friends! We know he will carry on a legacy way beyond this life.
