Just found out today thanks to cousin, Kelly Joyner. So sad to hear. Bill Hall, Ed and Bev and you kids were such an important part of the Joyner/Stevens broods' growing up. Truly, Ed is the passing on of that generation for us. What a dear, sweet, intelligent, caring man to have been blessed to know.

Dear Troy, Shannon, Ryan and your family... we are so sorry for your loss. Your parents were some of the most welcoming people we have met. Even upon an unexpected visit to Regina.... there was no way we could not go over for dinner. Ed was kind and it was always obvious how proud he was of all his children and grandchildren. Please accept our heartfelt condolences. Love Louise and Lorne Hartell

To Shannon, Ryan, and Troy and all your family ... Your mom and dad have been ever present in our family's life since I first met them in 1979 in Estevan. They were both such great friends, not just to my parents, Bob and Marg Lawrence, but to us kids, and and our children. From the years of trips to Minot for annual New Year celebrations to Ed's final weeks at Wintergreen he was always interested in family fun, and what was going on in our lives. I will always remember your mom and dad helping me throw a surprise 25th anniversary party for mom and dad ... I was so nervous to ask for help ... but they were eager to put on a big party and of course now I understand that was just right up their alley! Probably a lot more fun than rolling boulders into Mom and Dad's newly landscaped backyard in Estevan ... pretty sure we have pictures of Ryan and Brad enjoying that with Dad and Ed to supervise! So many, many good times ... its really hard to think of the last 40 years without your mom and dad being part of reminiscing. Just before he went into hospital I had a great conversation with your dad... him on his scooter in minus 20 weather and me through the open window of our Chevy truck ... and despite the cold he chatted for at least 15 minutes. He wanted to know all about my new business venture ... I mention this because this was so typical of your dad's charm ... always interested and cheering you on ... It was remarkable really ... anyone else would have headed indoors! I won't forget your dad... his extraordinary ability to engage with others AND remember everything was awe-inspiring. Loved him dearly ... he will be so missed in the halls at Wintergreen, at Mom and Dad's bridge table, and on the patio at Wintergreen where we visited so often with mom and dad. My sincerest condolences to your family. Much love, Leslie Gosselin.

I pray that God, who is full of compassion and mercy, will give family and friends peace as you grieve the loss of Ed. I knew Ed at the start of my career in the "Training Pool" , which he was in charge of at the time, and intersected with him many times throughout the years. I would certainly echo the comments already made about Ed being a compassionate and caring human being.

Our prayers go to the Beechinor Family at the loss of their father, Ed. He was our good friend and neighbour and will be always remembered for his warm presence and the many good times we shared with both him and Bev.
Your Dad was one of a kind and we will miss him very much. If anyone made a mark in their time here on earth, it was Ed. May he rest in peace and join Bev in Heaven where they look down on their family with great pride.

Shannon was my very first friend when Ed and Bev moved their family across the street on Uhrich Ave in Regina. We became fast friends and had many days spent at each other’s homes. Ed and Bev were like second parents. Shannon and I remain friends to this day and I know she and her family are feeling such sadness right now. May all your memories bring you comfort in this time of sorrow. Shannon, Ryan, Troy and your families, you will be in our thoughts and prayers.

Ed's genuine interest and care for my family--even our dog Ginger--has been such a blessing in our lives.
I enjoyed my many conversations with Ed so much. I actually think my love for finer things in life was inspired by him. He took such joy from daily pleasures such as a great glass of wine, good food, an idea, a story, a local business, or the craftsmanship in things. He was larger than life and his gift of the gab made everyone feel included and welcomed.
Thank you for sharing your parents with us Shannon (and Tim) (and sharing your grandparents Emma and Connor). I always felt loved by both of them.
Love to you all, and talk to you soon.
