What a wonderful friend and Dieppe neighbour, Evelyn. I still have her Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe. Ev and Harry were so good to my mum and dad.
My deepest sympathies to you all.
Kindest regards, Kathy Dorsett Regina

On behalf of Olive Evans, our family would like to offer our condolences to Evelyn's family. A bright spark at the apartment building where we met and at Knox United Church, Evelyn was a pleasure to visit with.

I remember clearly the first time I met Evelyn when Terry introduced me at an extended family gathering in Moosejaw. She welcomed me with such warmth that day and the tradition of Sunday lunches with the Hansen family became my “home away from home”. She loved having all her grandchildren around her and who could forget her pies and home made buns!
When Terry, Tess and I moved back to Tasmania to be near my ageing parents she made it her mission to escape the winter and join us every second year until she was well into her 80s. She enjoyed the travelling and was a great help to us while we were busy with our business. Tess will always have a special place in her heart for her Canadian grandma who kept her company on her Summer school holidays.
She was a great role model for health and vitality and always retained her essential kind empathetic nature as well as her sharp wit. I could not have asked for a better mother in law!
Rest easy Evelyn now you are united with Harry and Terry,
loved forever by your daughter in law,
Jan Luckman

We always looked forward to my Aunt Evelyn’s visits to my hometown, Kingston and adopted home, Halifax. She arrived with an abundance of stories, quick wit, and tons of energy, well into her advanced age. She was charming, well informed, could talk with anyone and was eager to get up and go; a real inspiration to me! I often wished we had lived closer together!
My dad, Ken, was really proud of her, and I am lucky to have had the opportunity to get to know her better, despite the miles.
