Evelyn Hansen

Obituary of Evelyn Bernice Hansen

Evelyn Bernice Hansen, late of Regina, Saskatchewan, passed away peacefully on March 24, 2021 at the age of 97 years.  She was predeceased by the love of her life Harrison Hansen, and her son Terry (Jan) of Tasmania, Australia.  Evelyn is survived by her children, Brian (Deborah) of North Saanich, BC, Marty (Loreen) of Regina, and Karen (Randy) of Lowell, Oregon; and she will be missed by her eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Evelyn was a strong prairie woman through and through, and placed a high value on family.  She led by example and her support for others was always front and center in her life.  She was an active lifelong member of Knox-Metropolitan United Church, their social action committees, the IODE, new immigrant programs; and over the years active in a walking group, lawn bowling, cycling, and sewing group.  Born into the Lamb family of Moosejaw, she supported the WW2 effort and her assignment in Abbotsford BC led to her connection with her life partner Harrison (Harry) Hansen of Vancouver.  When her children were older, she joined the Hudson Bay Company in Regina and met many that would become lifelong friends.  Flowers gratefully declined. Donations, in memoriam, may be made to Knox-Metropolitan United Church, 2340 Victoria Avenue, Regina, SK, S4P 0S6.
