It is with great sadness that the family of Lucie Dufour announce her sudden passing on May 13, 2021 in Regina, Saskatchewan at the age of 62.

Lucie was born and raised on the family farm in Spirit River, Alberta.  After graduating high school, she went on to study art at the College of Art and Design (SAIT) in Calgary.  Several years later, she changed gears, getting her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Calgary.  She spent the rest of her working career as a social worker in many towns and cities across the country.  Lucie had many hobbies that she was passionate about, including gardening, sewing, quilting, antiquing and loved to travel.  She was dedicated to her family and was the favourite aunt to all her nieces and nephews.  Lucie spent the last 5 years of her life in Regina to be close to her son and family.  Spending time with her grandchildren, Oliver and Elise, was the greatest joy of her life.

Lucie is survived by her son Rene Dufour-Contreras; daughter-in-law Marina; grandchildren Oliver and Elise; parents Gerard and Eugenie Dufour; siblings Suzanne (Mark) Vandervoort, Marie (Mal) Dufour, Andre Dufour, Gisele (Colin) Wilson, Marcel (Grace) Dufour, and Denise (Corey) Beaupre; and numerous nieces and nephews.
