Randy was a good friend and classmate growing up in Virden. I was fortunate enough to get together with him at our last school reunion. May he rest in peace.

Lost a soul I didn't get to know as much as I would have liked. A cousin, a musician, a creative man with a inviting smile. Last I saw of him was when he did a road trip to Eastern Canada and he kindly stayed a few days with my family. We hadn't connected for awhile so I thought of ringing him up. No answer. The next I read was that he had decided to have a go into the after. Shattered me! I feel like Hank Williams tonight. Best regards to his family, he has so many to be remembering him. Respect and peace.

Randy had such a kind soul and heart and we will miss seeing him with his boat on the lake. He always stopped to say hi and tease like we did with him. Our condolences to all the family and friends.

I met Randy in 2012 on a job at the Co-op Refinery in Regina. I was a traveler from Vancouver and new to Regina. Randy was a Friendly Local, not all of them were. We became fast friends, sharing a love for John Prine. Randy was a true IBEW brother, he showed that in many ways. We kept in touch since then, hearing of his travels made me smile. I am truly saddened by the news of his passing. My sincere condolences to all that loved him. I am sure there are many.

Wow quite a shock. It was a pleasure visiting with him when you came to Halifax. Happy we had a good visit and time at the Virden class reunion a couple years ago. You were always smiling and making everyone feel good. Great guy and will be missed. My condolences to the family and friends.

To my dear cousin Randy, how sad we are upon hearing of your sudden passing. We know you lived life to the fullest. The sadness your family must feel. Praying that all the good memories you made with them and all your friends throughout the world will be of comfort during these difficult days. We will miss travelling the world through your eyes, videos and pictures. To your children, keep your Dad in your hearts. May God keep him and may he R.I.P. God bless you all.

I'm going to miss Randy so much. He was my neighbor and dear friend for 2 years here in Cambodia. His sobriety was a big influence on our group of friends living at the condo (we are in the late 20s-early 30s) We would drink and smoke cigarettes and he would not judge us. However his ability to abstain from drinking while being surrounded with others who were drinking, really was inspiring to us. He would also give us advice on health, relationships, etc.
He was also my intermittent fasting buddy. We would both do IF together and keep each other in check. Even during covid, we would be in contact about keeping that covid quarantine weight off.
Randy had the greatest recipes too. Before moving to Cambodia, I have never used a pressure cooker. The whole concept was foreign to me. Well, for my 30th birthday, Randy gifted me a pressure cooker and would often give me recipes. I still have that pressure cooker and I will never get rid of it.
A few years ago, my wife was graduating university. Randy and I went together (along with my son) I didn't think to much about the event, I was more focused on watching my son who was very young at the time. I did not even think about getting my wife a graduation gift. Randy pulled $25 out of his pocket and was like "Hey buddy, go by your wife something, it's a special day for her"
I really hate speaking about him in the past tense, but he was the most wholesome human being in all of Cambodia. His passing really weighs heavily on me and I sincerely give my condolences to all of Randy's surviving children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Rest in peace you amazing human being.
