Deepest sympathy and condolences to the Yeung Family. Mary was an old friend of my mother and it was good their friendship lasted so many years since their school days back in Guangzhou. My Mom tells the story of how Mary and her would walk together to school everyday when they lived at the same building. Each would wait for each other to trek the street to and from classes.
When they each got married to their spouses and moved to Canada, they lost touch with each other. They had not seen each other for over 50 years. Surprisingly, they each landed in Saskatchewan to raise their families. Their friendship was rekindled about 20 years ago when a chance meeting at a Seniors function at the Regina Chinese Alliance Church brought them together. Since then they have remained in touch through their children.
We will miss her beautiful smile and funny laughter.
