Lynda and family, As you know, I have never met Bernie in person as he had just signed up for some research I am doing then he went on the holiday. From the contact I have had since with you Lynda, I know you have a very supportive and loving family. Bernie sounds like a compassionate teacher (worked at Cochrane) and also a gifted and hard working athlete. Thank you for mentioning the Rock Steady Boxing Program! I know that program helps people with Parkinson’s. Bernie will live on through you and his life will continue to contribute to others through the work he did with his students who he taught and worked with. His Rock Steady Parkinson’s Exercise group will feel his loss but we will tell them that he and your family thought enough about them and the program that you mentioned it at this highly emotional and critical time.
