It is with heavy hearts that the family of Delaine Scotton announce her passing on August 15, 2021.
Delaine was born on September 20, 1942 to parents Leonard and Grace Christensen of the Mardsen-Neilburg district. She was predeceased by her youngest daughter Beverly; both of her parents; and brothers Orville, Lyle, and Mervin. Delaine is survived by daughters Connie (Brad) Wagner and Stacey (Kirby) Ulrich, and their father, Dick Scotton. She will be greatly missed by her sisters Viola and Muriel.
Delaine also leaves behind four treasured grandchildren: Levay (Chris) Turner, Warren (Anja) Wagner, Jacob Ulrich, and Matthew Ulrich. She loved being a Great- Grandma to Theo (Theodore) Wagner and was excitedly anticipating the arrival of a new great grand baby later in the fall.
Throughout her adult life, she worked passionately for social equality, first as a teacher, and then in a variety of volunteer and employment roles with the Saskatchewan New Democratic Party. She completed her working years with the Saskatchewan Government Executive Council. She will be lovingly remembered as a card shark, or shard-cark to her kids and grandkids.
