It’s been 3 months and with the holidays approaching I can’t help but reminisce about the wonderful times spent with family at my home, in Florida, New York City or simply wherever we wanted to be. Family came first with Dad and his love shone through for everyone who was blessed to know him.

Dear Marlene and family, it is with great sadness that I read of another Balfour student passing away, particularly because he was your husband. I remember “Butch” very well from Balfour and also at the Leader post where I also had a long love affair. Marlene, you obviously got married just after grade twelve as I remember very fondly having you sit in front of my desk in grade ten English. In this time of sorrow and loss, I wish you peace and comfort. You have 57 years of memories on which to draw so seek solace in the good times you and “Butch” shared. I will carry you both on my thoughts at this time, Jim Toth.
