Obituary of Valerie Gail Mary Hysuick

November 12, 1953 – August 18, 2021

Valerie passed away peacefully at home in Regina at the age of 67 years.  She was born on November 12, 1953 in Gladmar, SK.  Valerie was raised by her mother Loretta Arnold and later on her stepfather Lionel Forest.  She was a huge Roughrider fan and her family knew not to call when the game was on!  Valerie was also a lifelong fan of Elvis and was a collector of Elvis memorabilia. Above all, her greatest love was for her family.  Valerie’s home was always a place to gather for friends and family, especially at Christmas time.  She was predeceased by her mother, Loretta Arnold; and son, Devin Hysuick.  Valerie is survived by her loving fiance, Carl Serfas; father, Lionel Forest; brothers, Murry (Linda) and Denis (Peggy); brother-in-law Harry; son, Kirk (Lisa); daughter, Tracy (Kent); stepson, Brad; granddaughters, Shayanne (Marlin) and Amanda; grandson, Brandon; great-grandchildren, Liam, Cash and Qwin; and numerous nieces and nephews.  A come and go visitation will take place at the Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, SK on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Private Graveside Service at Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery will take place at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 110-1525 Carling Ave., Ottawa, ON K1Z 8R9.
