It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather Arnold Ladwig. Arnie passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on Thursday, September 2, 2021 from complications of the heart and kidneys brought on by diabetes. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Ethel; his brothers Ben and Ivan; and sister Sylvia. Arnie is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Isabelle; son Mike (Crystal), grandchildren Kelsey, Austin (Carrie) and Vincent; daughter Tammy (Reynold), grandchildren Renee (Joey), great-granddaughters Charlie and Sophia, Braiden (McKenzie), great-grandson Jaxton; and Riley. Arnie will also be lovingly remembered by his sister June (Don); brother-in-law Richard; cousins; and numerous nephews and nieces, who always enjoyed their visits with Uncle Arnie.
Arnie was an avid fisherman, and never had to brag about the one that got away, as his trophy walleye was hanging on our wall. He loved his family deeply, and always looked forward to the times we would get together for suppers. Arnie was famous for cooking hard boiled eggs to perfection for these times, so that devilled eggs were always a part of the supper menu.
A funeral service will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 3825 Hillsdale Street, Regina, SK on Friday September 17, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Seating capacity of the church is currently limited to 100 people so close family, friends and neighbours are being asked to attend in person, but those wishing can also view the service live by clicking on the link above.
In honour of his memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association 917A Albert St, Regina, SK S4R 2P6 306-569-9025 http://www.diabetes.ca/
