Ralph Hunt Van Iderstine passed away peacefully on Saturday September 11th, 2021 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Olive Van Iderstine; wife Jean; sisters in law; Sadie and Mabel; brothers in law William and James; and cousin Ken Van Iderstine and Joan King. Ralph is survived by daughter Cindy (Allen); son Brent; granddaughter Aleesha; sisters in law, Eileen, Ruth (Arnold) and Merle (Ron); brothers in law George (Shirley) and Donald (Marlene), cousin Nita Van Iderstine, good friends Garth and Martha Nicholson, Art and Shirley Rennie, Shirley Brown, Ken Fader and several nieces and nephews.

Ralph was an avid sports enthusiast either watching or participating. After retirement Ralph took up lawn bowling with Jean and attended several national championships as either a player or coach. Ralph enjoyed watching the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Regina Pats and was a season ticket holder for both teams but he enjoyed watching Aleesha’s hockey games the most. Ralph could be seen many times at the rink with his Tim Hortons coffee cheering on Aleesha’s team.

Special thanks to Dr. Llewelyn-Williams, Dr. Cheema and Regina General Hospital staff at 3E. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Due to ongoing COVID 19 concerns, a private family service will be held on Saturday September 25, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.  To view the livestream of the service please click on the link above on the day of the service.  Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK, S4P 2R3.
