I had many happy bbq memories with Wayne and lots of memories riding in his scout. Was a great guy to be around. Oh ya , he kicked my ass in darts all the time.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Wayne. Wayne was always very friendly to me and went out of his way to talk to me and make me feel welcome. Was sad to hear that he was diagnosed with cancer back in 2016. He fought it courageously. Will miss you Wayne. Till we meet again..........

Wayne and I were best friends in our youth. We were always doing activities together. We went to the same schools, we walked or rode our bikesto school, and for awhile we were in the same classrooms together.
Some of the activities we did was bowling at prairie lanes ten pin bowling. Saturday mornings we would go to Regina's downtown department stores. We didn't shop. Instead we would terrorize the security floor walkers. They thought we we were stealing stuff. We weren't. We had fun making them think that. Our favorite store to do this was army and navy.
Wayne tried to teach me how to drive a standard transmission in his 57 chevy. This was when I started to date Barbara.
Many many memories! RIP Wayne.

I think back at that night December 31st. When we ditched you at Wayne's, Haha. We were all hoping you both would fall for each other. We were right. Glad you both fell for each other & got to share many years together. Wayne found his Soulmate with Yvonne. Wayne & Yvonne made many great memories. We loved his jokes, music, knowledge. We all will miss him. He's out of pain now. As he said, a few weeks ago, looking forward to having fun up there, as he wasn't able to do that here anymore. Heaven is a Beautiful place they gained another Angel. RIP Wayne

Wayne came into our lives 35 years ago, on a Saturday afternoon when he came in to play in a weekly dart tournament at the bar which Yvonne’s parents used to run. From the moment he started throwing those Hammerheads we knew he was impressive; who would have thought he’d go on to become a world champion!
Wayne was friendly, smart, and funny. He was approachable and easy to talk to, always willing to listen to anyone and everyone. He quickly became our friend and later our brother-in-law. We are so grateful we got to call Wayne family and had so many great opportunities to create memories together. Donnie loves to reminisce about the days he and Wayne would throw those darts together.
Wayne was a groomsman at our wedding, and he’ll always have a special place in our hearts; as he will in so many of us who were lucky enough to call him a friend. Some of our favourite memories of Wayne are watching the Rider games together, playing poker, when he’d whip out the acoustic guitar, his many jokes, that crinkled-up nose laugh when he’d let loose an “Eeee!”, and the classic high-fives. Wayne wasn’t much of a hugger but he was always ready with a high five. He will be greatly missed.
With all of our love and condolences,
Verna, Donnie, and Family
