Obituary of Joan Best

On November 11, 2021, our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, friend and nurse passed quietly to be met by those who have gone before her including her parents Janet Morton and Adam Todd, her sister Evie, her brother Earl (wife Lena) Todd, husband Keith Best and her furry companions Tasha and Kramer.

Those who remain to celebrate her life and accomplishments are her children Doug Warren, Brian (Betty) Best, Gail Bryanton, Rob Bryanton, Nancy Best, nephew Ray Todd and niece MJ Todd. Joan was so proud of her grandchildren Alicia (Patrick) Clifford, Todd (Audra) Bryanton, Mark (Ellen) Bryanton, Brock (Sandi) Best and Braden (Brigit) Best, and she believed that her great-grandchildren Van, Jade, Cadence, Emily, Sylvie, Brooklynne, Anikka, Bria, Charlie and Ryan will make a real difference in the world.

Mother always loved a party, but due to COVID the family will honour her privately at a small gathering. We would ask that all her extended family and friends in both B.C. and Saskatchewan celebrate her in your own way in a manner that would be fitting of her joy for living, her love of people, animals and the nature that surrounds us. There are so many ways to celebrate her well-lived life.
