Obituary of Andrzej Józef Lorenc

Andrzej Józef Lorenc passed away on December 18, 2021, at the age of 61. Andrzej was born on June 30, 1960 in Wrocław, Poland.  He was the first child of two, born to Michał and Maria Lorenc.

Growing up in Wrocław Poland, Andrzej attended XIV Liceum Ogólnokształcące we Wrocławiu and Polytechnic of Mechanization in Agriculture. In 1981, after graduation, he moved to Germany, where he resided for two years. Andrzej immigrated to Canada in 1983, where he worked as a painter. Three years later, Andrzej married Wendy Fae Russell and in 1992 and 1994, welcomed his two children into the world. In 1998, looking for a career change, he graduated from Moose Jaw SIAST Palliser Campus with a diploma in Computer Information Systems and for the next 20 years, worked as a Programmer Analyst at the City of Regina.

Andrzej enjoyed fishing, photography, painting, and cooking for his family. He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humour, and his unconditional love for his children. He was very proud of Alexandra and Jonathan, bragging to everyone he could.

Andrzej is survived by his son Jonathan (Kelly) Lorenc, daughter Alexandra Lorenc, and their mother Wendy Lorenc; his parents Maria and Michał Lorenc; his brother Dariusz (Małgorzata) Lorenc and their son Michał (Brittany) Lorenc.

Public Visitation and Prayers with Polish Priest will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at St. Anthony’s Polish R.C. Church, 2275 Atkinson Street, Regina, SK, on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
