I met Mr. Ed in 2010 before getting married to my wife. He started by being our marriage counsellor, and later on he became our biblical mentor. Our hearts were always filled with joy every time we gathered for bible studies.
Mr. Edwin Seed, thanks for being a father figure and great christian role model to us.
My family and I will miss your laughter, your stories, and jokes.
Rest in peace man of God!
My condoleances to the Seed family.

I would like to thank God for having provided to the Bethany Gospel Chapel and Christian community with Edwin Seed who has triumphed and won victories as Christ servant attached to the genuine Biblical scriptures without compromission. Since I met Ed in 2001, I was impressed by his sense of hospitality, fellowship, desire to deepen his understanding of scriptures, share his scriptures understandings with other Christians around him, and take care of missionaries around the world.
Many if not all of the members and visitors of the Bethany Gospel Chapel will remember how Ed and Betty were so happy to invite them at their home for diners. I was impressed how Ed was aware of the spiritual and material situations of the members of the Bethany Gospel Chapel. He loved so much the Assembly that he did not miss our meetings online or in-person even at the hard moments of his life when he was fighting against his sickness. In the last weeks of his life, he did not hesitate to attend the Christmas event at the Assembly on December the 19th and after the December the 25th, he called many of us by phone to wish a happy new year.
For myself for example, Ed helped me to repair the problem of the roof of my house with what he called the “the farmer’s solution”. But since 15 years now, the farmer solution holds and I have not seen the roof problem anymore. Another day, Ed came after hard snow to help me to remove snow on my yard with his machine. In addition, Ed has been an effective counselor of the wedding of my children. He has been my effective coach for the eldership and continue to remember his wise and practical advice.
He was a consistent and perseverant learner of the Word of God. He was reading not only published and printed literature, but also online publications of the scriptures and practical recommendations by other Christians. Many times, he could distribute texts he had printed from online articles such as the duties of elders. He was so concerned for missionaries around the world that he was the reference for the Deacons who attended his list to schedule the donations.
It is not possible to give the narrative of everything that Ed has done for the Assembly of Bethany Gospel and Christians in general. We will all greatly miss Ed.
But His passing reminds us that, like our fathers, we are strangers and sojourners on this earth (Ps 39: 12), and that “10The days of our lives are seventy years; And if by reason of strength they are eighty years, Yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; For it is soon cut off, and we fly away. (Ps 90: 10). Nonetheless, we will grieve our brother Ed all of us biological and Christian family with sorrow, but not like people without hope. Jesus has said in John 11: 25 “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live." We will always be thankful to God for Ed's life as His servant among us. The Lord gave us Ed. and the Lord has taken him in due time according to Hi will (Job 1: 21). We should celebrate his life on this earth and take it as a source of inspiration for all of us and especially for youths among us. Revelation 14: says "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on. “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.” At this time, let us pray for comfort and consolation for the Ed's biological and Christian family that the almighty God who comforts and consoles without limits, be with everyone.
My deepest condolences to the children and grand children of Edwin Seed
Jean-Marie
