It is with great sadness the family announces the peaceful passing, at the grand age of 91, of our father, grandfather, great grandfather and husband of Dulcie, the love of his life for 69 years. Dan was predeceased by his parents George and Margaret and his siblings John, Anne and Mary. He is survived by his wife Dulcie; his brother Gene; his children Debbie (Garry), Denis (Angela), David (Monique), Doug (Tracey) and Don (Lori); his 17 grandchildren and his 20 great grandchildren.

Dan was born and raised and worked his entire life in Regina and he was proud of it. He worked diligently for Sask Power for 35 years, bringing natural gas to rural Saskatchewan. He volunteered for many organizations ostensibly his church St James Anglican, where he served in various roles including Sunday School Superintendent, Treasurer, and Coach of the boy’s hockey team, the Lions Club with various roles in the leadership of that Club over many decades and the CNIB assisting the blind bowling team as well as he was an avid supporter of the Riders

Dan was a true gentleman. His purpose was to always support and encourage all those around him. He was always ready with a word of praise, a hand in greeting and a cheerful smile.

Dan loved to travel and had many adventures with Dulcie. He loved his yard and his dogs and his community but most of all he loved his family. He was so proud of his children and their children and attended every game, concert, and event and cheered them on heartily.

Dan will be sorely missed. He loved greatly and was greatly loved.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to his caregivers at the Dove House and his nurses and doctors at the Pasqua Hospital ward 4B.

A private family service will be held due to Covid. A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers family and friends so wishing may make memorial donations in Dan’s name to a charity of your choice.
