Obituary of Jeff Gessell

Jeff Gessell, late of Regina, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at the age of 51 years.  He is survived by his parents Allan and Heather; partner Shannon; wife Brenda; daughter Katie; son James; brother Rod; niece Brittney (Conrad); and nephew Bradley.

Jeff had a lifelong love of hockey and football and was an avid Riders and Canadiens fan.  He loved watching the games with friends at home or at Boston Pizza on North Albert.  The World Juniors Hockey Tournament was a highlight of the post-Christmas season every year.

Jeff worked in the construction industry for most of his career as a Construction Safety Professional with his National Construction Safety Officer designation. He made friends easily and enjoyed mentoring young professionals in the field.  Jeff always had the same corny jokes for every new staff member he worked with.

A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at the Conexus Arts Centre, 200 Lakeshore Drive, Regina, SK  on Thursday, March 10, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at a later date.  As a tribute to Jeff’s love of hockey and football, people are encouraged to wear sports jerseys, especially the Riders, Habs or Team Canada.
