He will also be remembered by Ute’s children, Mika Kocks (Geoffrey Wale) and Akio Kocks, as well as his grandchildren, Ashley (Eric) Bestvater, Shaun Cadenne (Yuriko Larson), Robyn Deck (Luc Misener), James Deck (Tom Fryer), and 4 great-grandchildren. Ray was admitted into the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan in 1960 and practiced accounting for his entire life, even at the young age of 87!

Ray enjoyed gardening, travelling, fishing, and spending time with his family. He sang in the Volksliederchor Harmonie (Germany Harmony Chorus), was involved with the Sask German Council, and devoted many hours to improving the lives of autistic people, including terms as president of the Regina District Society for Autistic Children, president of the Autism Resource Centre, and national vice-president of Autism Canada. Ray was a kind man, always there to help others.

Many thanks to the wonderful Health Care workers and staff at the Pasqua Hospital for their compassion and dedication these last few weeks.

A private family celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 19. Those wishing to donate can do so to Chip and Dale Homes, Inc of Regina, SK.
