Obituary of John Wiebe

It is with profound sadness as a family we announce, that John Wiebe passed away peacefully on April 1, 2022 at the age of 75 years. Left to mourn his passing is his wife Val; daughters Dreana Fairbrother (Todd) and Amanda Szigli (Daniel) and their children, Gavin and Addison; son Steven Wiebe (Cynthia) and their children Sarah, Jenna, Morgan, Brooklyn and Marcus; son Jeffrey Wiebe; brothers Andrew, David, Bill and Abe; sisters Eva and Betty; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his parents Abraham and Aganetha Wiebe; brothers George (died in infancy), Jake and Julius; and sisters Anne, Kathy, Mary, Susie and Nettie. John was born in Warman, SK and moved with his family to Northern Alberta when he was young. Although he left home very young, he had a great sense of community which was expressed throughout his entire life. John loved camping, fishing and playing golf and was a huge Saskatchewan Roughrider fan.  Visitation will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK, on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Celebration of John’s Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.  To view the livestream of the service, please click on the link above which will be made available on the date and time of the service.
