Dear family, We were sorry when Beryl left the condo on the fourth floor of our building. We had gotten to know each other and always had a nice chat when we met in the hallway or elevator. One day Beryl asked us in to show us the beautiful flowers on her balcony and she came to admire ours. I can still see the luscious plants she had, all in full bloom. We remember Beryl and Margaret fondly and we regret that we don't see the members of her family who used to come over to visit. Heartfelt condolences from Penthes Rubrecht and David Bale.

My sympathy to the family of Beryl. I lived in the same condo building on Angus Street. Beryl was such a delight to have a chat with in the elevator or hallway, especially if Margaret had arrived for a visit. Berly often shared Globe Tickets with condo residents when she was unable to attend. I was a lucky recipient once in a while which I always appreciated. May you cherish the remarkable memories of your mom who lived on her own for many years. My sincere sympathy to the family. Twyla Mensch, Regina, SK

Those of us with Regina's Making Peace Vigil send our condolences to Beryl's family. Beryl was with the vigil almost from the beginning. Having come across us by accident one Thursday on the Scarth Street Mall, she soon began coming every Thursday, often bringing her daughter Margaret with her, to help hand out pamphlets on peace and justice issues. Beryl will be very badly missed by so many people in this city where she did so much good.

My condolence to Beryl's family. She was always so positive and gracious and a wonderful role model. I enjoyed getting to know Beryl through her commitment to the Regina Home Economics for Living project and the Regina Home Economics Association. She made it her life's work to help those who were less fortunate.
