On the morning of April 28, 2022, Ruth Herperger of Regina passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones. Ruth was born in 1956 to Carl and Hazel Halbach in Wadena, Saskatchewan. She worked as a legal assistant before working at the Resource Center for the Archdiocese of Regina. In August 1984, she married Don, and together they raised four children, Lisa, Joe, Ann, and John. In 2007, Ruth suffered a stroke and in 2008 moved to Wascana Rehabilitation Centre.
Before her stroke, Ruth was an avid photographer, baker, and sewer. She also loved riding horses and being around animals. After her stroke, she took up painting and gave away many paintings as gifts. She was known for her sly humour and her love of socializing.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband, Don; her four children (and their spouses), Lisa (Josh), Joe (Stacey), Ann (Jeff), and John; and six grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by them as well as her siblings and extended family.
Prayer Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service for Ruth will be held at Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish, 3155 Windsor Park Rd, Regina, SK on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. To view the livestream of both services, please click on the link above, which will be made available on the date and time of the service.
