It is with great sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Ann Fichter (Grimes) after a brief illness on May 5, 2022. Ann was born in Lampman, Sk on July 6, 1933 to Thomas and Anna Grimes.  She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Leo, her son Thomas, and grandson Jordan Hanna, four brothers and seven sisters.

Mom taught school in Redvers and Bellegarde for 25 years.  It was a career that she loved and was forever grateful for.  She loved children and always asked the grandchildren and great grandchildren what they were learning.

 

Gardening was her passion as was music.  She had a strong faith and was an active member of her church and choir. 

Ann is survived by daughters, Susan (Brent) Hanna, Moose Jaw, Darcy Thiesen, Saskatoon, and Cindy (Don) McMorris, Regina; grandchildren, Jennifer Salewski, Riley (Cassandra) Thiesen, Dustin Thiesen, Craig McMorris (Jenny McConnel) and Mark McMorris (Coco Ho); great grandchildren, Kaleb, Kolby, Kooper, Jackson, Hunter, Wyatt, Clarke and Leo; sisters Colleen (Tony) Sieben, and Imelda Grimes; sister in law, Flora Getzlaf; and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Resurrection Roman Catholic Parish, 3155 Windsor Park Rd. Regina, SK on Monday, May 16, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev Rick Krofchek presiding.  To view the livestream of the service, please click on the link above which will be made available on the date and time of the service.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital, Saskatoon or The Palliative care Unit at the Regina Pasqua Hospital.
