My sincere sympathy to Warren and the family. I grew up next door to Rose and the Thomas family on the 1300 block Athol St. I remember Rose well from that time, especially her friendly interest and positive, common sense approach to life. ( I am the oldest of the 4 children of Art and Freda Schuett.) After that, our lives took us in different directions. Then, after Dad died in 1998, my sisters and I started to take Mom for groceries at the 13th Avenue Safeway. From time to time, we met Rose and Warren as they shopped. She and Mom were always glad to "catch up" with family news. (Warren exhibited a great deal of patience, as the conversations tended to go on and on.) Those days were a special pleasure to Mom. I last saw Rose at Mom's funeral and I still remember some especially kind and meaningful remarks that she made to me on that occasion. She was always kind, thoughtful and positive. I’ll never forget this wonderful woman who was half of Rose and Warren, my parents next door neighbours and friends for as long as I can remember. There were so many visits, over the fence and so many anniversary/birthday dinners celebrated over the years. So much love for this couple for so many years. Their kindness and friendship to my family can never be repaid and will never be forgotten. Sincere condolences to Warren and the rest of the family for this loss. We have a lost a wonderful lady - always a smile and ready for fun with us over many years. She will be surely missed. Rose was a beautiful Auntie. She was so loving, caring, funny. As a lil girl, my dad (Herb dowie), would ask where I wanted to go….and it was always, over to Auntie Rose & Uncle Warren’s place. She always made me feel safe, happy. Forever in my heart, Auntie Rose. God bless you, in your on-going journey.

I've been thinking of you alot lately, Rose. I use to see you and Warren at Safeway once in awhile. You and mom were great friends and a friend to our whole family.
