Debbie and Arlis , just came across this today. Was very saddened to hear of the passing of your mom. It’s been many years since we have had any contact but have lots of memories living across the street from your family on Woodward Ave. So very hard to loose a parent and now both. My condolences to you and your families. ❤️ Debbie Korf maiden name.

Rest in Peace Loretta. I grew up on a farm...a stone's throw north of their farm. Their farm was magical as a child and had hundreds of flowers. Margaret or Tina, gave me several white glad bulbs when I was 6 and told me how to cut them at a slant when they bloomed and to put each in its own vase. Then they told me to put food coloring in each and the food coloring would spread out in the veins of the flowers.
Margaret or Tina told me how many inches deep to plant the bulbs and I would put small dykes around each. Mom was afraid that I would water them too much. But that was my imaginary farm!
Loretta Morton and Helen Gilmour were two of my favorites whenever I saw them at my St. Andrew's United Church in Lumsden or other places in Lumsden. Helen now lives in Regina.
Once Dad passed away and then Mom, I felt that Loretta gave me special extra attention. I will miss you Loretta. Love from Blaine and Crystal Dodds, Regina. I made sure that I visited with Stuart before my Dad did as they would talk farming for many hours...if Mom let them. Farm neighbors and farm friends forever. Rest in Peace.

Dear Debbie and Arlis and families,
I send my deepest condolences to all of you in the loss of your wonderful mother. No matter how long we have our mothers with us on this earth, it's never long enough. Cherish all the memories that you made with her. Be gentle with yourselves as you grieve.

My deepest condolences to the entire Morton family upon learning this morning of Loretta's passing. She lived a good, and long life, that served her family, and anyone who came in contact with her very well. I know it was heartbreaking losing Stuart in 2008 for her, but they are now reunited. My childhood, and teen years always included the Morton family. Initially Harry, and Tina ( Mr. and Mrs. Morton to me), and then Stuart and Loretta. Whether, we were farming, snowmobiling, or demolishing, and rebuilding the house, Loretta was always there with the most, and best food, and a big smile. Rob Gilmour

My deepest sympathies to Loretta’s family. We sang together in the church choir for many years and I loved her quiet lovely personality. My favourite memory was for my bridal shower at the church, she picked peonies from her garden and filled the basement with maybe 20 bouquets . The smell of those beautiful flowers was outstanding and I appreciated it so much.
