Diane MacDonald (nee Deobald) late of Regina, SK passed away early in the morning on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at the Regina General Hospital. Diane was born on March 18, 1944 in Gravelbourg, SK, moving to Regina at a young age. She taught at elementary schools around Regina as well as helping children with special needs at Wascana Rehabilitation School. Faith and music both played a big part in Diane’s life and she was actively involved throughout her life in music ministry. She sang in the Huettes, Sugar and Spice, and several other choirs over the years, fondly remembering her trip to Wales to sing there. Family was another focus and Diane was never happier than when she could have all her family together around the table. She was predeceased by her husband John MacDonald; as well as her parents Johnny Deobald and Maria Leiman. Diane is survived by her brother Clint (Betty Anne) Deobald; sons Steven (Laurena) and Shawn (Victoria); and her beloved grandchildren John, Elizabeth and Michael; step-grandchildren Alicia (Joey), Josh and Ashley; step-great grandchild Keira; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass for Diane will be held at Christ the King Roman Catholic Parish, 3239 Garnet Street, Regina, SK on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Diane’s beliefs were based on helping one another and loving one another and as a result she was blessed with many close friends, colleagues and sisters in Beta Sigma Phi.
