Our thoughts are with Peter's family. We will remember Pete as the adventurous, imaginative, and loving friend. I vividly remember driving to our cottage on Lake Huron with Pete and Alex in tow. Pete was teaching Alex all about the Adventures of Huck Finn. To fully experience the adventure, "Huck and Tom" decided not to pack any footwear. When we stopped at the store to stock up for the weekend, I was advised that they could not go into the store because they had no shoes! I heard Ted's voice in the back of my head telling me there was no way I could leave the two kids in the car while I shopped, so I broke the "No Shirts, No Shoes, No Service" rule and hauled the two kids into the store and added footwear to the shopping list!!

Robin Ted Jillian and Annie We were so sad to hear about Pete’s passing. I am sure your hearts are broken. Pete was such a sweet boy. Loved for him to come visit at the lake. One time not sure how it happened but he had made Rice a Roni at the cabin and was telling us about it. We said we love that dish so off goes Peter back to his cabin comes back with a big pot of Rice a Roni. It was delicious even though it may have taken you both a day or two to clean up the mess God Bless you all or thoughts are with you at this very sad time Norman and Darlene

My heart was heavily saddened when I heard of Pete’s passing. My deepest, heartfelt condolences and love go out to you, Robin, Ted, Jill and Anne. I remember many engaging kitchen conversations with Pete at our house. I always enjoyed including him in our family. He was a wise soul and had a vibrant spirit that added an extra spark wherever he went. I’m grateful to have known him!

Yes, a very special kid, as everyone is saying. I am overwhelmed by sadness at learning this news. He grew up across the side alley from us so we got to hear the little voices and watch his antics. One day he decided that Jill didn't need training wheels on her bike anymore. He took them off without consulting anyone. Another day he came to my door with a friend and wanted to see the inside of my house. I was delighted to give them a tour. When he saw me after they moved farther down Leopold Crescent he would say, "You're my old neighbour." Definitely old. I will remember him. My deepest condolences to Ted, Robin, Jill and Anne.

WE are all feeling the tragic loss of Pete, gone far too soon. Our kids remember him fondly and enjoyed his upbeat honest company. I remember the simple gesture of giving him a T-shirt from a famous club made his day. He was ever kind and generous to my daughter when she visited. His passing has hit her particularly hard. I wish to ask all his friends to stay close to the Warawa clan in Regina. Ted told me it was like having a bit of Peter back when his friends talked about him this week. Come together and remember him, because there's a hole now in the family that can only be helped with friendship and time.

My sweet baby cousin Pete. I will forever cherish our memories at the lake. Bike rides to grandpa’s cabin, movies on rainy days, picking out candy at the store, and swimming to the “big rock” at Pelican beach.

My foremost memory of Pete is that 3 year old precocious cyclist who raced up and down Leopard Crescent jumping curbs on his 2-wheel bike, like he’d been riding since he could crawl. He was impressive.

I will never forget the first time I saw Pete. He was riding on his tricycle outside the front of his house with his blonde mushroom cut and the sweetest dimples. He chatted with me on the sidewalk like he knew me his whole life. He was special, and he stayed special to me from that day on. We formed many memories together I will never forget and will hold closer then ever now. To Ted, Robin, Jill and Annie I am so truly sorry for your loss. Pete, I have so many wonderful and special memories of you! I clearly remember the first time I met you, when your mom placed you very carefully and gently in my arms. I remember the nickname your sisters and you had for me (I’m still called it occasionally!), the times our families got together at Christmas, your sweet smile and the sparkle in your eyes. So many memories. My most recent memory is from this past summer, the last time I saw you. We were at Chitek, and I was the lucky one who sat next to you at supper. We visited, you were genuinely interested in our conversation, you were kind. I will cherish that memory, and all of them, forever. You were special, and you were loved. Rest easy, sweet Pete ♥️
