TEMPLETON, John Wesley

1959 - 2023

It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of John Templeton. He passed away, lovingly surrounded by his family, on Friday, February 10, 2023, at the age of 63 years, following a short battle with metastatic colorectal cancer. Predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Sarah Templeton; brother Timmy in infancy; John is survived and dearly missed by his wife and best friend, Bonnie (nee Goldstone); children: Jordan, Zachary (Katherina), and Kelsea Templeton; sisters: Mary (Bev d.) Wilhelm, Shirley (Allan) Blair, and Sam Champion; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and only surviving uncle, Doug (Kay d.) Templeton. John was a proud Sheldon Williams student and athlete. He spent his entire working career in retail and wholesale building supplies where he developed lifelong friendships - Boychuk, Bison, Fisher, Sasko, Henderson Dist./Jeld-Wen, CWD, Gentek, and most recently Creative Door Services. Above all else, John's greatest love was his family. He always looked forward to family holidays and spending time with his kids. He loved to make people laugh and passed that special trait on to his kids. He was also a huge fan of all sports with his favourite teams being the Saskatchewan Roughriders, the New York Rangers and the Detroit Lions. Special thanks to friend Terry Melnychuk who crafted John's beautiful urn. To honour John's wishes, a casual Celebration of his Life will be held at Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina SK on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 10:00 am to 12:00 p.m. Casual clothing or SK Roughrider gear are acceptable attire. Following the service, we invite all friends and family to join us at our home for a BBQ. Please bring a lawn chair. Anyone wishing to camp overnight may also bring a tent.
