On behalf of the Zichydorf Village Association I offer my condolences to all of the Lang family on the passing of Joe. Although we never actually met, we corresponded on occasion about the family's beginnings in Zichydorf and its growth in Saskatchewan. Joe kindly shared his research with us in the Lang family history. It was a huge work and a treasure to have in your family.

Aunt Ann and cousins. Please accept our heartfelt condolences on the
loss of a fine kindhearted man
We still have the tiny table and chairs Uncle Joe expertly crafted for our boys decades ago
The table and chairs are still used regularly by our granddaughters for their many tea parties
A lasting testament to one of the many talents Joe generously shared with all in his life

Aunt Ann & Cousins, you are on our heart during this time of farewell as Uncle Joe has graduated to Heaven. You are so blessed to have had him with you for 96 years. He was an amazing man with a heart of gold. Like a second dad with his phone calls, caring and sharing the pride for his own family. God bless all of you with His peace and joy as you share the many happy memories like the many gardens he planted and jars of preserves he made including each their favourite.
Rest In Peace good and faithful servant.

I extend my heartfelt sympathy to Aunt Anne and all of Uncle Joe's family, from the oldest who knew him the best to the very youngest who will learn about him from the stories they will inevitably hear. About a quiet, humble, intelligent man to whom his wife and family were his greatest blessings.
My memories of Uncle Joe go back to him bringing his grandkids out to see a "real" farm ... cows, horses that chored, pigs, chickens, etc etc. He would come out to help Dean butcher the pigs we raised for him and his trips to smoke sausage and bacon in the fall and hams in the spring were times we looked forward to spending with Uncle Joe.
Though his work here is finished, I imagine the Lang reunion in heaven when he arrived was pretty awesome!

I remember all the trips to the various brothers and sisters farms. Dad would load us up in Grandpa's old truck and off we went. He made sure we spent lots of time with our cousins. He sure loved all his brothers and sisters. I can just imagine the fun he is having with them today. Love you Dad and thanks for all the love you gave your children.
