TOMLINSON, Kenneth Charles

1933 – 2023

Kenneth Charles Tomlinson who was born February 20, 1933, in Regina SK, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the age of 90 years. Ken was predeceased by his parents Louis and Doris Tomlinson; siblings Ada (Ike), Willie, Jean (Jim), Gladys (Jack); his daughter Peggy; and his grandson Cole. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, Hugh (Joanne), Mike (Wendy), Chad (Tanya), Crystal (Brian), Cody (Michelle), and Coralee; his beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren and pets.

Ken worked for Canada Post as a letter carrier, as well as managing many restaurants from Regina to Toronto and then went on to retire from Lennox Industries. However, he was not ready to quit working and continued to work for another 20 years at various places. It was never hard for Ken to add a new friend to his life, from neighbours, coworkers, wait staff, and lifelong friends. He often went for wings or beer weekly with some of them. Ken loved lawn bowling in the summer and indoor bowling during the colder months. He was even fortunate to travel to Scotland where he coached blind bowlers. Ken also had a great love for music; it didn’t matter the instrument you could give it to Ken, and he could play it. He took Mandolin lessons in retirement and attended the Kenosee Lake Kitchen Party. Ken also enjoyed travelling and held a special place in his heart for England and his family there. Ken will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
