Obituary of Charles Douglas Schell

It is with broken hearts that our family announces that Charles (Charlie, Paw, Pop Pop) Douglas Schell, of Regina SK, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday May 12, 2023, at the age of 73. 

Charlie brought so much joy to this world through his world-famous cookies, his Santa Claus sparkle, his love and pride for his children and grandchildren, and his gratitude for community and life-long friendships. He was most at home with his family surrounded by books, music, and laughter, enjoying lunch with his CBC family, having long chats with the people he loved from near and far, or simply enjoying the sun while feeding the squirrels on his apartment bench. 

Charlie was predeceased by his parents, Melbourne, and Barbara; sister Patricia; brother Cameron.

He is survived by his sister Cathy (Wayne); children Anna (Eric), Jon (Jenny), Nathan (Alicia), Ghia (Garret); as well as many beloved grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

Celebration of Life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. To view the livestream of the service, please see the link above.
