It is with great sadness that I discovered that my cousin Shirley has passed away. My mother and father Hilda (Hugo’s sister) &Stan Kreller and myself Linda Jean would travel to the farm to visit and in turn they would come to visit here in Britain Columbia to visit us and my grandparents Hugo & Kathleen Seifert who lived across the street. Shirley and I always had good times together while growing up. As we got older it was by phone or e-mail. Condolences to the family and Dave. Linda Boehm. (Linda.boehm44@gmail.com)

Shirley was a wonderful woman with such a smile! She loved to welcome people to her home in the valley and we, my own Dave and I, thoroughly enjoyed our visits. When we celebrated Halloween in Lumsden, Shirley would join right in, although I think Christmas and everything that went with it was more to her liking. (To my eyes she missed her calling: she was a fantastic Grim Reaper.) We never forget friends, even when they move away to begin a new chapter in their lives. She was missed, is missed, and will always be remembered.

Shirley was at U of S when I met her. She was lovely, smart, interesting and charming. We lost touch after graduation but luckily our lives connected again in Lumsden. We shared a quirky sense of humour and became friends. We lost touch again after moving from Lumsden but she remains in my memories.
