1942 - 2023

Late in the evening of Wednesday, May 17th, 2023, Shirley Elaine Hansen (nee Seifert) left this world for the beauty of Paradise, where many friends, family, and a menagerie of pets welcomed her Home.

Her last days were spent with her loved ones by her side.

A heartfelt thank you is extended to the nurses and doctors of the Pasqua Hospital who cared for her and eased her passing.

Born in the late spring of 1942, she grew up on a farm just outside of Bethune.

After her primary school years, Shirley moved to Regina to finish high school.

Her love of learning took her to university and then on adventures abroad, gathering many new experiences and wonderful friendships which she carried with her throughout her life.

She eventually settled down near Lumsden to raise a family and then spent her golden years in Regina.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Violet and Hugo; and her brother Ken.

She lives on through her child Kieren (Emrys); ex-husband David (Cheryl); and numerous extended family and friends.

We were blessed to have her in our lives for 80 years, sharing her love of travelling, books, gardening, and animals.

She was best known for her love of good food and drink (especially scotch) shared with good company.

A Celebration of Life will be held later in the year.
