Tim was born on January 30, 1958, in North Battleford, Saskatchewan, to a large and loving family. He was the epitome of a Renaissance soul, leaving an indelible mark on the world through his various passions and talents. From an early age, Tim displayed a deep connection with nature and a remarkable green thumb. Gardening became his sanctuary, and he nurtured the earth with tenderness and dedication. His garden was a testament to his love for the natural world. Friends and neighbors often sought his advice, and he generously shared his knowledge.
Growing up in a large and close-knit family, Tim was one of nine siblings, and the bond they shared was unbreakable. Throughout his life, he remained particularly close to his siblings, as well as his nieces and nephews, who regarded him as more than an uncle, but as a mentor and friend. Tim's vibrant presence and genuine love for his family created treasured memories that will forever live on. Someone once said that the greatest gift our parents give us is each other. We will carry Tim’s fire in our hearts as we move forward in life without him.
Tim's talents extended beyond the garden. He was also an accomplished pianist and a remarkable talent in the kitchen. His culinary skills were nothing short of extraordinary, and he delighted friends and family alike with his delectable creations. The joy he found in preparing meals was matched only by the pleasure he derived from sharing them with loved ones. Tim's home was a gathering place for laughter, good conversation, dirty jokes, good wine, and the creation of cherished memories.
Tim also possessed an extraordinary eye for photography, art and design. He attended the esteemed Emily Carr University of Art and Design in Vancouver, British Columbia, where he honed his talents as a photographer and explored his creative spirit. Through his lens, he invited others to see the world through his artistic perspective, leaving an everlasting impact on those who experienced his work.
Tim was also a very compassionate soul who advocated for justice, equality, and the preservation of the arts. Tim's commitment to making the world a better place was evident in his strong social consciousness. He possessed a deep understanding of the challenges faced by others in society.
Above all, Tim cherished his close-knit group of friends, who were like family. Their bond was unbreakable, and they shared countless adventures, laughter, and tears together. His presence in their lives was immeasurable, and his memory will forever be etched in their hearts.
Tim will be deeply missed by all those fortunate enough to have known him. In honor of his memory and in support of the ongoing fight against cancer, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre St, Regina, SK. Tim requested that no funeral be held. Tim and the family would like to thank our sister, Claire, and brother-in-law Randy, for their unwavering support of Tim and the rest of us throughout his cancer journey. The family would also like to extend our utmost thanks to the staff at Palliative Care at the Pasqua hospital. Your kindness and compassion is greatly appreciated.
In celebration of Tim's vibrant life, we encourage you to gather with your loved ones and share a meal, just as he would have wanted. Pair it with excellent wine and don't forget to sprinkle the conversation with a touch of his trademark dry humor. Raise your glasses high and make a heartfelt toast in honor of a man whose zest for life and artistic soul touched the hearts of all who knew him. We love you Tim and we are heartbroken at losing you.
