Kevin, Shelley, Merica & Maverick; Derrick, Amy, Alexis & Hunter, Our condolences on the death of your beloved Mom, Mother-in-law, and Oma. It was our privilege to have known your Mom and Dad through our mutual friends and to have journeyed with your Mom after your Dad's death. She was the most pragmatic person I've ever known and she taught me so much about so many things - from gardening to preserving. She will be sorely missed by her many friends, us among them. "Well done, good and faithful servant."

My heart goes out to all of you. Your mom was one of the kindest ladies I’ve ever known. I wanted to call her to let her know my mom passed away, when I found out that she had passed as well. I’m guessing they’ve already met and are looking after heavens gardens. We always admired your beautiful yard. They took great pride in it. I remember seeing your grandparents working out there as well. We also had a dairy, so I’d see you and your mom at Weyburn selling calves. More recently she shared her baking, raspberries, asparagus and many, many, slips of flowers to start in my and my mom’s gardens. I will cherish those memories and beautiful flowers, yellow raspberries and asparagus. Especially our Christmas phone calls.

Our sincere condolences to the entire family. Edelgard was the most kind and caring neighbor that anyone could hope for. She was always short and to the point in her comments but they were always truthful and loving. She was Oma to our children and many others as well, after their own grandmas had passed away. She fed us at harvest time and was always there for us when we needed her. When she moved to the city she left all her neighbors with a keepsake to remember Alvin and Herself. We shall cherish those two evergreen trees in our yard. We will always remember those great memories of her.
