GARRY DOUGLAS JOHNSON With great sorrow, Garry’s family announce his passing on October 5, 2014. Garry was born February 11, 1954 in Weyburn. He grew up in Ontario and moved back to Saskatchewan in 1971. After marrying Val, the love of his life, Garry completed his law degree and was admitted to the bar in 1980, practicing in all areas of law. He was very proud of his sons Nicholas & Zachary and delighted in their accomplishments. Garry was active in politics for a number of years and a longtime member of 35 Lions. He was a motorcycle and golfing enthusiast and enjoyed nothing more than a great meal, a beer and the company of family and friends. Garry was predeceased by his parents Al and Kay; brother Joel and step father Dave. Garry will always be loved and deeply missed by Val; his sons Nicholas (Alana) and Zachary (Jenna); brothers Jim (Margie), Pat (Cathy) and Kris (Georgina); special aunt Lillian Clark Goodman; Val’s family: Fred & Erna Hutchings, Greg (El), Jan (Randy) and David (Jaki); nephews & nieces Nolan, Bryn, Sean, Josiah, Tammy, Jesse and Jennifer and many other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Garry’s life will be held at St. Paul’s Cathedral, 1861 McIntyre Street, Regina on Friday October 10, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Donations in memory of Garry may be made to CNETS (Carcinoid Society Canada) or Building in Faith at St. Paul’s Cathedral.
