Obituary of Betty Jean Burton

BETTY JEAN BURTON Betty passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the age of 59 years. Betty was born on July 11, 1955 in Melfort, Saskatchewan. She attended school in Melfort and then went to university in Saskatoon graduating with a Bachelor in Commerce Degree. Betty spent most of her working life in Saskatoon and then Regina and worked mainly in human resources. She was a very special Aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. She also had a special love for animals, especially her dog, Ti and her cat, Bailey. Betty will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Olive Burton. Betty is survived by siblings, Connie (Marton) Murphy, Kay (Jim) Haslett, Spencer (Linda) Burton, Pat (John) Bardahl; nieces and nephews, James (Tannis) Burton and their children, Kyrie and Hailey; Talleen (Paul) Fisher and their children, Grayson and Ethan; Lauren (Brad) Carlson and their children, Cole and Rhett; Jennifer (Ed) Wirun and their children, Tyson and Cole; Kelly (David) Bakker and their son Mason; Heather (Kevin) Jackman and their children, Chloe and Jaden. A celebration of Betty’s life will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Betty to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK S4P 2R3 or to the Regina Humane Society, P.O.
