Obituary of John Paseznak

JOHN PASEZNAK 1919 – 2014 John passed away peacefully in Regina on Friday, December 19, 2014 after a short illness. John is lovingly remembered by his wife of seventy-one years, Helen; daughter Elaine (Larry) Ceholski; son Gordon Paseznak; and daughter-in-law Marion Paseznak; six grandchildren: Jason and Clint (Nadine) Ceholski, Shannon (Nathan) Campbell, Tanya (Clark) Mundt, Scott Paseznak and Amber (Tyler) Flett; seven great-grandchildren: Nick, Dalton and McKenna Ceholski, Rylann Campbell, Warrick and Ada Mundt and Roman Flett; sister Irene Goodhue; sister-in-law Lillian Paseznak; nieces and nephews: Marianne, Marilyn, George, Wendy and Roy; great-nieces and nephews: Michelle, Michael, Tim and Tina; as well as several great-great-nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Robert John Paseznak; parents, George and Mary; siblings: Tom (Kay), Janet (Tony) Mildenberger, Mike (Susie) and William; brother-in-law Roy Goodhue. John was born on the farm near Disley, SK. He was conscripted to the army in 1940 and served overseas during WWII in the Engineering Corps. After being discharged from the army in 1945, following the war, he worked in Regina as a taxi driver and chauffeur until 1975. He was trained in electronics in the 1940’s and also worked in this trade until 2010. John met the love of his life, Helen Suszycki in Toronto in 1941 and they were married in 1943. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Interment in Regina Memorial Gardens.
